Medica is the writing carrier (administrator) for MCHA. Medica is a Minnetonka, MN based health plan that has been in business for over 23 years. Medica provides service statewide and into western Wisconsin and eastern North Dakota. Medica services over 10,000 employers groups and over one million members.

As MCHA’s Writing Carrier, Medica is responsible for the administrative services, customer service and care management services as directed by MCHA. The current Writing Carrier contract with Medica runs from January 1, 2004 through December 31, 2011.
