High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP)
This is a federally qualified high deductible health plan, which allows you to open a health savings account (HSA) if certain HSA eligibility requirements are met.
The HDHP requires a $3,000 individual deductible and out-of-pocket maximum / $6,000 family deductible and out-of-pocket maximum - same deductible amounts apply to both medical and prescription drugs.
You are responsible for the establishment of your HSA and the coordination of reimbursements.
Basic Medicare Supplement Plan
Limited coverage for Medicare Part A and B co-payment amounts but no coverage for Part A and B deductibles, and no coverage for prescription drugs (riders can be purchased for Part A deductibles, Part B deductibles, and 80% of Usual and Customary Costs).
